Gardens Of Halek

from Mandala Sunrise by Martin Mensik

/

about

Accessible retro electro pop, but with a difference. Heavy electro bass, jazz trumpets and oboe, backed by sampled choirs and violins. There is a compound verse-chorus structure but with a leftfield mid section consisting of a sampled opera soprano with cello melody. This mid-section breaks down into a minimal version of the intro which then suddenly builds into a most powerful extended version of the chorus. This track ends with three repeats of the mid section, each one becoming more ethereal until the song ends with a otherworldly chorus
